Who We Are

NW Critter Advocates is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Oregon, dedicated to strengthening the wildlife rehabilitation network across the Pacific Northwest. We do not perform rehabilitation ourselves — instead, we support licensed wildlife rehabilitators and transport volunteers who ensure injured and orphaned animals reach qualified care quickly and safely.

Our mission is simple: Educate. Connect. Support. We serve as a communication hub between the public, licensed rehabbers, and volunteers, helping wildlife get the right help from the right experts.

Our Mission

We exist to make wildlife rescue more effective, transparent, and collaborative. Through education, fundraising, and logistical coordination, we help bridge the gap between concerned citizens and the professionals who provide medical care and specialized treatment.

  • Education: We provide species-specific guidance to help the public understand when and how to intervene safely.
  • Connection: We coordinate transport and communication between volunteers and licensed rehabbers.
  • Support: We raise funds to offset medical and care costs, supply transport volunteers, and strengthen the entire wildlife-care network.

How We Raise Funds

Our fundraising efforts include Squirrel Fest, our flagship annual event, as well as raffles, auctions, and restaurant-partner nights throughout the year. We also sell wildlife-themed products, with proceeds directly supporting licensed rehabilitators and transport volunteers.

Every dollar raised helps ensure that wildlife in need receives timely, professional care.

Our Values

  • Transparency & Stewardship: We protect every donation with rigorous care, ensuring funds flow directly to licensed rehabbers and volunteers.
  • Inclusive Collaboration: We listen first — to rehabbers, volunteers, and the public — and coordinate support systems that help animals reach qualified care.
  • Lifelong Service: We nurture a culture of compassion and commitment, empowering those who make wildlife recovery possible.
